Thiruvananthapuram: Former AICC member Simi Rosbel John has made serious allegations against the Congress party. She claimed that one must endure exploitation to get opportunities within Congress and that approaching senior leaders is not safe. In an interview with News 18 Kerala, the female leader revealed that the party is controlled by a power group led by Opposition Leader V. D. Satheesan.
Simi Rosbel John said that women workers have had to face bad experiences from leaders. Many workers have shared their personal experiences with her. She claimed that opportunities are given to individuals like Jebi Methar and Deepthi Mary Varghese solely because of their secret relationships with leaders. Women in Congress have long faced gender discrimination. To rise in the party, women must align with the preferences of male leaders. Simi Rosbel John accused that current female leaders in Congress are those closely connected to male leaders. Women who perform well in elections often disappear from politics, and older women are ridiculed and sidelined, she added.
