ഛത്തീസ്ഗഢിലെ പന്ത്രണ്ടുകാരിയുടെ സ്വകാര്യ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ സ്പർശിച്ചതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട കേസിൽ പ്രതിക്ക് 20 വർഷം തടവുശിക്ഷ വിധിച്ചത് അഞ്ചുവർഷമാക്കി കുറച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ് ജസ്റ്റിസുമാരായ അഹ്സനുദ്ദീൻ അമാനുള്ളയും ജോയമല്യ ബാഗ്ചിയുമടങ്ങുന്ന ബെഞ്ചിൻ്റെ നിരീക്ഷണം. പോക്സോ (കുട്ടികൾക്കെതിരായ ലൈംഗിക അതിക്രമം തടയൽ) നിയമത്തിലെ ഒൻപത് (എം) വകുപ്പുപ്രകാരമുള്ള ലൈംഗിക അതിക്രമമാണ് ഇത്തരം പ്രവൃത്തികളെന്ന് രണ്ടംഗ ബെഞ്ച് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
