Ranchi: The intense election campaign in Jharkhand, which lasted for over a month, has come to an end. With just hours left before polling booths open for the second phase of voting, the political landscape in Jharkhand remains highly charged with allegations and accusations. Voting will take place in 38 constituencies out of the total 81 seats in the second phase. A total of 528 candidates, including senior leaders from both alliances, will seek the people’s mandate. The vote count will take place on Saturday.
In the state, the BJP’s communal campaign has become the main weapon for the JMM-Congress alliance. The JMM is expected to win the tribal vote, while the Congress hopes to secure support from other backward communities. If this happens, it is believed that the alliance could continue to form the government, according to political analysts.
