എൻഫോഴ്സ്മെൻ്റ് ഡയറക്ടറേറ്റ് (ഇഡി) അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന കേസ് 2021-22 ലെ ഡൽഹി സർക്കാരിൻ്റെ ഇപ്പോൾ റദ്ദാക്കിയ എക്സൈസ് നയം രൂപീകരിക്കുന്നതിലും നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതിലും അഴിമതിയും കള്ളപ്പണം വെളുപ്പിക്കലുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടതാണ്.
മെഡിക്കൽ കാരണങ്ങളാൽ ഇടക്കാല ജാമ്യം അനുവദിക്കാനാണ് അപേക്ഷയെന്നും സുപ്രീം കോടതി അനുവദിച്ച ഇടക്കാല ജാമ്യം നീട്ടാനുള്ള അപേക്ഷയല്ലെന്നും നിരീക്ഷിച്ച് പ്രത്യേക ജഡ്ജി കാവേരി ബവേജ ഉത്തരവ് മാറ്റിവെച്ചു.
ലോക്സഭാ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ പ്രചാരണം നടത്താൻ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിക്ക് 21 ദിവസത്തെ ഇടക്കാല ജാമ്യം മെയ് 10ന് സുപ്രീം കോടതി അനുവദിച്ചിരുന്നു.
