തിരുവനന്തപുരം : സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് നെല്ലുസംഭരണത്തിനായി കേരളം നൽകുന്ന പ്രോത്സാഹന ബോണസ് നിർത്തലാക്കണമെന്ന് കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ. രാജ്യത്ത് ധാന്യോത്പാദനം ആവശ്യത്തിലധികമായതിനാൽ, പകരം പയറുവർഗങ്ങൾ, എണ്ണക്കുരു, ചെറുധാന്യം എന്നിവയ്ക്കു പ്രാധാന്യം നൽകണമെന്നാണ് നിർദ്ദേശം. കേന്ദ്ര ധനമന്ത്രാലയത്തിലെ ചെലവുകാര്യ സെക്രട്ടറി വി. വുവൽനാം സംസ്ഥാന ചീഫ് സെക്രട്ടറി . ജയതിലകിനയച്ച കത്തിലാണ് ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു നിർദ്ദേശം മുന്നോട്ടു വെച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. തീരുമാനം നടപ്പാക്കിയാൽ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ നെൽക്കർഷകർക്ക് ഇപ്പോൾ ലഭിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കിലോഗ്രാമിന് ആറുരൂപയിലേറെ ബോണസ് നഷ്ടമാകും.

നെല്ലിൻ്റെ വിത്തിടലും ഉത്പാദനവുമൊക്കെ വൻതോതിൽ വർദ്ധിക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെയാണ് കേരളം ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരുകൾ  അധിക പ്രോത്സാഹന ബോണസ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.
നെല്ലും ഗോതമ്പുമൊക്കെ ഉത്പാദിപ്പിക്കാൻ മറ്റു വിളകളെക്കാൾ വെള്ളവും വളവും വേണം. അതിനാൽ, അവയുടെ അനുപാതരഹിത ഉത്പാദനം ഭൂഗർഭജലശോഷണത്തിനും മണ്ണിന്റെ പോഷകക്കുറവിനും ജൈവവൈവിദ്ധ്യ നഷ്ടത്തിനും കാരണമാകും. പൊതുജനാരോഗ്യത്തിനും കാലാവസ്ഥാ പ്രതിരോധത്തിനുമൊക്കെ ഇതു ഗുരുതരഭീഷണി ഉയർത്തും.

അധിക പ്രോത്സാഹന ബോണസ് നിർത്തലാക്കണമെന്ന കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാരിന്റെ തീരുമാനം ഉടൻ പിൻവലിക്കണമെന്ന് എൽ.ഡി.എഫ്. കൺവീനർ ടി.പി. രാമകൃഷ്ണൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
