സാധാരണക്കാർ കൂടുതൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഉൽപന്നങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയുള്ള ഏറ്റവും കുറഞ്ഞ സ്ലാബും ആഡംബര വസ്തുക്കൾ ഉൾപ്പടെ വരുന്ന ഉയർന്നതും ഇതിന് രണ്ടിനും ഇടയിൽ വരുന്ന മറ്റൊരു സ്ലാബുമാണ് കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ വിഭാവനം ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ജി.എസ്.ടി കൗൺസിൽ യോഗത്തിൽ ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ച തീരുമാനമെടുക്കുമെന്ന് സഞ്ജയ് കുമാർ അഗർവാൾ പറഞ്ഞു
ആഗസ്റ്റ് അവസാനത്തോടെ നടക്കുന്ന ജി.എസ്.ടി കൗൺസിൽ യോഗത്തിൽ ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ച ചർച്ചയുണ്ടാകുമെന്നും അഗർവാൾ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. ബിഹാർ ഉപമുഖ്യമന്ത്രി സാമ്രാത് ചൗധരിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള സംഘം നികുതി ഘടന പരിഷ്കരിക്കുന്നതിൽ പഠനം നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. ദീർഘകാലമായി വ്യവസായ ലോകം ജി.എസ്.ടി നിരക്കുകൾ പരിഷ്കരിക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുകയാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. നിലവിൽ ജി.എസ്.ടിയിൽ നാല് നികുതി സ്ലാബുകളാണ് ഉള്ളത്. 5,12,18,28 ശതമാനം നികുതി ചുമത്തുന്നതിനാണ് സ്ലാബുകൾ.
നേരത്തെ ഇറക്കുമതി തീരുവയിൽ കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ മാറ്റം വരുത്തുമെന്ന് ബജറ്റിനിടെ ധനമന്ത്രി നിർമല സീതാരാമൻ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. അടുത്ത ആറ് മാസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ വ്യാപാരം എളുപ്പമാക്കുന്ന രീതിയിൽ തീരുവ പരിഷ്കരിക്കുമെന്നാണ് ധനമന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചത്. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് ജി.എസ്.ടിയിലും കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ മാറ്റത്തിന് ഒരുങ്ങുന്നത്.
